April 2016

This month we visited the Volksworld Show, something we have done since 1998. I have always liked the Volksworld show but felt in the last few years it had out grown Sandown Park Racecourse. I always manage to pickup a few items I need, not always at a good price but it does save on delivery. Depending on the weather we would take both Gertie & Bertie.

April 2016

The first show of the year for Southern Classics Society (SCS) held at Chichester College.

The Chichester show is hugely popular and more often than not they run out of space. As we use a car park it does make it quite close and there are few places to sit. It was a lovely day, a little cold to start with but it soon warmed up.

May 2016

The second show of the year for SCS held at Newhaven Fort. It is a great place to visit and is quite popular.

June 2016

The third show of the year held at Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Musem.

The day started off with rain which lasted for a couple of hours, once that had passed it stayed dry and overcast. We were once again on the front lawn and despite the weather many cars turned out.

There is a museum with a wide variety of cars on display from early steam powered cars to modern Formula One racing machines and many more between.

The fourth show of the year for SCS, held at the Weald and Downland Living Musem. We were located in the "show field" where they hold events. it was slightly out of the way but they did at least put some signs up to direct people to the car show.

August 2016

The fifth show of the year for SCS held at their spiritual home of Worthing Rugby Club. The day started off overcast and cloudy, but come midday the sun was out and it warmed up nicely. Once again there was a large turnout of vehicles.
