This is where my journey with my Mexican Beetle began, having seen it advertised on Autotrader it was a solid nearly new Beetle and was crying out for someone like me to purchase it and cherish it forever.

June 2006

These are the images that the dealer in Bognor Regis had on Autotrader\his website for Bertie.

July 2006

After making contact with the dealer and arranging to pop down in a couple of weeks, the dealer kindly allowed me to take my first photos of Bertie.  Bertie was so good that we put a deposit down to collect the next weekend.

July 2006

These pictures were taken by my brother on the journey home after collecting Bertie.  It was a long journey home, around 50 miles and made worse by the fact the accellerator pedal was extremely stiff which made my foot ache several times.  I didn't want to push Bertie too much, especially as it hadn't been used very much.  It was a lovely ride back.

September 2006

I took Bertie along to the Laughton Show, although I did not enter as a show car, I parked in the car park and had a lovely time.

September 2006

These photos of Bertie were taken at home.  One of the first things we did with Bertie was to take out the interior and spray waxoyl inside all the panels to help prevent rust.

This month we fitted front fog lights to Bertie to help in low light and dark conditions.

October 2006

I took these photos of Bertie when I had got to work as we had recently fitted the new BRM replica Alloy's.

October 2006

I took these photos of Bertie before I left for work this morning.

October 2006

Again, I took these photos once I had got to work.

October 2006

A few more photos of Bertie, taken once I had got to work.

December 2006

Today I gave Bertie a good clean, inside and out.  After which I thought to take a few photos, these photos of Bertie were taken at home.
