Tamiya TT01 - on road

I bought the TT Chassis from a small Model shop in Lewes, East Sussex, sadly this model shop closed many years ago but it was a good source of cars and spare parts.

The body is from ebay and unfortunately I don't see any more of them for sale now which is a shame.  The body can be difficult to stick together, but once completed it looks nice.  The body does have light holders, however they are rather flimsey and can break easily.  You will notice that there are many screws on the front and rear bumpers, this is due to the fact it is difficult to get the bodyshell to stick together.

Originally I had the TT chassis with a New Beetle RSI Body, but once I found the latest Beetle bodyshell set on ebay it was a no brainer.  It fits quite well to be fair.

The Tamiya TT01 Chassis is pretty good, a lot different to that of the TL01 and TB01.  There are many modifications that you can get to tune the chassis.  I can see why the TT02 chassis is just as popular.
